For years, one of North City’s major outreach ministries has been to improve the lives of the children in Mark Twain through its after-school tutoring program.  Eligible students are those in Kindergarten through 6th grade.  Dinner is served at the beginning.  Children receive one-on-one tutoring from adults.  In addition they attend enrichment classes, which run for 6 weeks at a time, to learn a variety of skills.

Tutoring occurs on Thursday night from 5:30-7:30 during the school year.  Children eat at the beginning.  We provide a short Bible lesson.  Then they are dismissed to classes and tutoring.  Children attend one of two 6-week long enrichment classes for 45 minutes.  Then they spend 45 minutes in one-on-one tutoring with an adult.
